No, OpenTrack is a non-competition, non-time-trial insurance coverage. Competitive events, warm up laps for qualifying, and actual races are not covered for physical damage or liability.
Yes, on both the Physical Damage & Liability policies, HPDE instructors are covered drivers while instructing drivers listed on the policy.
We've built our products to avoid what we consider "traditional pricing gimmicks" (choosing winners/losers in the premium game). All of our customers, regardless of their affiliation, have access to our best price possible. In addition, each annual policy features unlimited track time and a low deductible.
We are trying to change the way things have traditionally been done in the insurance business. By valuing every single driver, we put you at the center of what we do. Companies who have a higher base price and then offer discounts for only a select group of people segregate both their client base and their priorities.
The OpenTrack Liability policy follows you as the driver, regardless of what vehicle you are driving on-track. Our quoting system requires you to enter one vehicle to get a quote, but that vehicle does not show on the policy. Coverage follows the driver.
There is no charge for changing out a vehicle for lessor or equal damage during the policy term. If you add a vehicle with a higher value than your current highest valued vehicle we simply pro-rate the increased premium due for the remaining months of the policy term and charge the $150 per year fee for each additional vehicle.
Yes, the Effective Date field on the Sign Up Form allows you to select a date up to 30 days in advance.
Our physical damage policy is written by Aspen Specialty Insurance Company and is A-rated (Excellent) by AM Best. Our track liability policy is written by Lloyd’s of London, also A-rated (Excellent) by AM Best (syndicates Hiscox and Vibe).

Policy document will be available to view or download on your Account Dashboard. They are also emailed to your inbox after purchase.
Your annual policy offering will be available on your Account Dashboard approximately 30 days before the expiration date. You can review, make changes and renew your policy on your Account Dashboard.
Email Sue Rieschl (email@example.com). If you are adding a new vehicle, please include the vehicle’s details (Year/Make/Model/Value/VIN). There will be a $150 a year charge for any additional vehicles, if the highest value vehicle changes to a higher amount, you will have to pay a prorated difference according to the new higher value.
You can change your address, phone number or email address right on your Account Dashboard. Click on "Drivers." click "Edit" and easily update your information.
OpenTrack policies are non-transferrable.

Payment options include Credit Card, Debit Card and ACH. We love when members choose ACH since it saves us transaction fees!
OpenTrack’s Annual policies are fully earned at inception. Midterm cancellations will not result in prorated refunds.
On Demand Policies
OpenTrack’s On Demand policies are non-refundable- however, may be moved to a different date. This must be done prior to 12:01 am on the day of policy inception. You can move your policy to another date (up to 30 days out from your policy’s current effective date) by logging into your account and selecting “Request Change” from your policy page.
If your event was cancelled the morning of, you can request to have your policy moved to a different date by emailing a letter from the event organizer showing the event never took place to Jerod Blakestad at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Claims are filed directly through our Claims Portal. If you need immediate assistance from a human being, contact Jerod Blakestad at email@example.com or 843-801-2788. You will need a copy of the incident report, pictures of the damage and estimate for repairs (if applicable).
