Creating a customer-centric insurance brokerage that would move beyond the stereotypically transactional relationship between customer and broker was a concept born in 2012 between OpenTrack co-founder, Jerod Blakestad, and myself. After years in the insurance industry, we knew we wanted to create an insurance experience that treated each individual customer as family instead of merely categorizing them based on marital status, age or whether they own or rent their home. Since our 2012 beginnings, we at OpenTrack have prided ourselves in taking an active role in listening to the needs, frustrations and passions shared by our invaluable customers and creating products and experiences to meet our customers’ needs, solve their frustrations and support our shared passion for driving.   

The coronavirus pandemic tested the world with one of our most volatile and challenging years to date.  However, 2020 also reminded many of us of the things we value most. At OpenTrack, now more than ever, we believe what matters most is continuing to find new ways to connect customers with their love for driving on-track.  

As a passionate and proud member of the driving community, my 2021 promise to you is getting you more time on-track and helping you to become a better driver. Our dedication to helping our customers Drive More, Drive Better will kick off  the new year with a realignment of our products and services. We are making it easier for you to get access to our most valuable insurance product, the Annual Unlimited policy, by offering a monthly payment option. This flexibility will allow our customers a critical component in making them better drivers - spending more time behind the wheel on-track.

Our commitment to helping our customers become better drivers doesn’t end there. The 2021 service I’m most excited to introduce to customers is their very own personal driver coach. We’ve hired the best professional driver coach we know, Andy Lee! Andy will now be available to OpenTrack customers for 1-on-1 virtual coaching sessions, as well as at-the-track coaching when possible. Andy has been busy, building a library of exclusive content and invaluable videos to help you improve your skills as well as navigate the problem spots at the most popular tracks around, making you faster and safer!
